Reminders from Town Hall - April 19, 2024
PUBLIC NOTICE | ||
Welcome to our new ACO Michael Dark!
He's a native North Carolinian, so don’t be surprised to hear a slight southern accent, although Michael has been a resident of Maine for 10 years. Michael brings varied experience into his new position as Cumberland and North Yarmouth's ACO from his time as a wildlife guide, vet-tech, zoological docent and 25-year career in the hospitality industry. With one high school aged daughter and one middle school aged son, Michael also holds the moniker of “glorified chauffeur” for his two sports inclined mini-me’s. Michael’s passions include his kids, wildlife, wine and food. An avid nature photographer, Michael has lived and worked in the many wild areas of Arizona, California, Montana, U.S. Virgin Islands, Utah, and Wyoming, along with several international locations. Michael is an Advanced Level Sommelier, so if you can’t find common ground about animals, he is always willing to chat about wines, vines and viticulture. On days off, you can find Michael hiking Maine’s trails with his four-legged companion, kayaking around Maine’s bountiful bodies of water, slaving away in the kitchen with his favorite playlist blaring, or road tripping on new adventures. We are excited to have him on our team! If you need to contact the Animal Control Officer please call Cumberland County Dispatch Center at 207-774-1444. | ||
